I sold my cherry blossom grand Seiko and bought this watch. The cherry blossom was a scratch monster

I have the FF “Dark Knight” in 45mm and a FF Chrono, also in 45mm both with sail canvas strap, which is by far the most comfortable and best looking piece for the FF. No need to downsize to 42mm for me but can understand many with thinner wrists will feel happy to wear it finally.

I don’t think quartz is cringe but I did stop short of requesting this watch when I noticed it was quartz. Im not interested in spending that kind of money on a quartz watch no matter how well it is polished. Or who the maker is. Quartz is just a different type of watch making and one can appreciate the science behind its development. But it takes out the human element to the watch wearing experience. Even self winding moments need a human touch every now and again (I’m not a watch winder kind of guy). But hats off to Patek for trying to make quartz cool again.

Nice upgrade. Compared to my XVIII thought I much prefer the preview date. With white font on black back fits in so much better. I also like the fully brushed previous bracelet. Otherwise the mechanism is the big upgrade which is great

I bought this same watch a month ago. It hasn't been off my wrist and it has ruined all other watches for me. It's that good. Wears surprisingly well and the weight feels great.

Finally got to try one yesterday. Really impressed. The small changes in size have a big effect. Green date version is it for me. Now to get one! Great explanation video as always!

Long time coming for the Aquaracer being upgraded to Master Chronometer status. TH should reintroduce the GMT version with the Polar White / Midnite Blue bezel (on the Blue Wave dial) which was an original TH combination. The Batman, Pepsi and Sprite combination are already being used by a variety of brands.

I don’t think people think quartz is cringe I think many of the GS quartz are bought by serious watch collectors. I also think even Spring Drive to some extent has helped normalise quartz, I know it’s mechanically powered but I think it’s still helped. I don’t think people think quartz is cringe. There are already smaller Royal Oaks in Quartz too for example.

People buying it don't realize it's cringe until someone say "hey nice chinese patek you got there" to them

Drop dead gorgeous watch. Even million dollars AP or Patek Philippe won't match such beautiful dial. Grand Seiko truly surpassed it's competitors.

This gives me "Apple claiming a feature is new while Android has had this feature for a while" vibes. I don't think Baltic is bad by any means, just a little overrated.

Very nice, impressive and historically interesting (even if it is as a commercial failure), but the price seems really way off for what it is. Unless Omega is only aiming at buzzing, not at selling a bunch of them. Which would be consistent with facts: they are nowhere to be seen, it seems.
